Kajang Municipal Council was established to administer the area around the Hulu Langat. Hulu Langat previously administered directly by the district office is located in Bandar Baru Bangi. Kajang and the surrounding area is a located in the parishes of the district in Selangor. It is located about 14 miles southeast of Kuala Lumpur. From Kuala Lumpur, Kajang connected by roads and railways.Kajang can also be linked to Putrajaya and Cyberjaya National Administration Center Multimedia National City. On the western side was located Bandar Puchong, Batu 3 and Klang.
