Majlis Ugama Islam dan Adat Resam Melayu Pahang (MUIP) was established in 1926. The first President of the late Holy Highness General Tengku Sulaiman. At the beginning, the Council known as the Council of Islamic Pahang, later changed its name to the Islamic Religious Council and Malay Custom of Pahang, eventually turning to Islamic Religious Council and Pahang Malay customs that survive to this day.
